Anne-Sophie Bajon, known as LA BAJON, is a French actress, writer and comedian, a petite brunette whose biting irony and heavy sarcasm are a huge hit throughout France. La Bajon tackles taxes, unemployment, redundancies… « Social injustice », « « Seeing people like Cahuzac, Fillon and Balkany get away with it makes me furious ». She adds: « Our mission is to make people laugh, we're not even trying to give our opinion, we're trying to ridicule the powerful. »

In his sketches, LA BAJON alternately embodies a Member of Parliament – "I introduce you to the Senate, this is the retirement home of the deputies" -, a bodyguard of Macron – "We protect him not only from those who want him, we also protect him from all those who want to hug him for having removed the ISF" – or the assistant of Marine Le Pen.

LA BAJON also rides the yellow wave. In late November, she plays Emmanuel Macron's lawyer and defends the president : « Manu, if we didn't hold him back, he'd put on his yellow vest. » Then she corrects herself : « You'll cut that, because we wouldn't want him siding with the people. » In her Christmas video, she also parodies William Wallace, the hero of Scottish independence, facing « a crowd of compatriots they tried to divide », « all united », « Yellow Vests, lawyers, firefighters, nurses, red scarves, pensioners and everyone who wants to end this system where money is king ».

LA BAJON may not be a politically committed artist, but she has chosen her side, as she confirms in an interview : « We support any movement that shakes off lethargy ! »

The message strikes a chord and reminds some of the 1981 presidential election, when Coluche ran for office. On Facebook, some even venture: « La Bajon for president? »
